Pushing the clutch in made no difference, different gears had no effect. My clio has started making a grinding noise whenever I accelerate, also when Im stopped and engine is off it makes a loud fan noise. Noise: Howling while accelerating over a small speed range (gears previously quiet) Cause: Worn gear set due to lack of lubrication or overloading.
