Its a renault from the past and no end of problems with these cars regarding the electrics ,they give me headaches and nightmares big time ,but try the battery terminals as the battery. I have to say, this is not reported as common fault on renault dci engines. You may also have the immobiliser light on all the time and the coolant fan constantly running, the main relay will also not function when the ECU is faulty.
The common symptom is complete non starting with no communications via diagnostic.
