Would you have thoughts on the relative merits of the single- versus the twin-turbocharger versions? The early versions of this engine were pretty awful, common issues included: Turbo chargers failing (often wiping out the engine with it), Injector faults, Fuel pumps collapsing, Wiring issues, ECU failures. When mine went in for some cosmentic work not so long ago at the local renault dealer, I asked him why there was so many problems with the DCI engine's going bang and was told it is down to the software within the ECU on.
