I have read elsewhere that the element burns out due to overuse, so that may be the problem. If these other items are working ok i'd have to say the cigarrette lighter heat element is burned out or there is a loose /disconnected wire to the cigarette lighter socket. It was the first injector that had gone faulty.
PS - can I buy a replacement cigarette lighter from an after market seller or would this be a Renault dealer only supply?
It is interesting how a port originally designed as a cigarette lighter has become the standard power port for interior power.
